The Power of Color

Color and light have been used for healing since the beginning of recorded time. Ancient Egyptians built solarium-type rooms with colored panes of glass. The sun would shine through the glass and flood the patient with color. Some people use colored silk cloths which are placed on the body and then flooded with sunlight. Early color and light healers in the modern world used colored gels and sheets of glass to apply light to the body. Others used color infused water and color meditations to send healing rays to the person. These are all still used. Click for Full Article

Asked, “Could a Messiah Appear in Our Lifetime?” a Vicar of the Church of England replied, "No, no. It is simply impossible that Christ would return in my lifetime—no, not in my lifetime. I'm sure of that." However, a lady coming out of Victoria Station hadn't given the Second Coming much thought, but her immediate reaction was, "That would be wonderful. Healing with Colors
It's as Easy as Duck Soupe!

The sweetness arose from my French Summer garden's pinks, yellows, reds and purples, bursting the beds I'd filled with seeds not so many weeks ago. Little did I know yet of the healing properties of colors. Today I had nothing that needed healing and was filled with hope. I had determined that whatever obstacles might bar my way, I was going to overcome the intimidation of eons of French chefs, and produce a traditional French meal to perfection; Duck a l'Orange. A poetic and photographic documentation of one of her several art miracles in nature. At the beach she tossed large colored game discs into the waves until they disappeared, snapping photos all along the way. A storm began to gather; she ran out of playing pieces but had one more photo to go and nothing to take a photo of. Then in the darkening sky a rainbow appeared and she got my last shot. Playing all out and letting go, and nature provides miracles.
Letterpress printed at Effie's Press with grants from National Endowment for the Arts and a grant from Xerox Corporation to print the color images on their very first Color Xerox machine in 1977. Years later she was to discover that a further “coincidence” of “miracle” was that the very week she was printing the book, Maitreya the World Teacher left his Himalayan mountain retreat and walked into the modern world.
